Rather unpatriotically, I haven’t really been that fussed about the Olympics. Not being a huge sports fan, with the exception of rowing and snooker (only 50% covered by the Olympics), I was excited we had them, but they really didn’t affect my everyday life (especially since I live about as far from London as you possibly can). Oh excellent - it's quite the spectacular, enjoy!
I'm gobsmacked that the Queen did this, all the news channels here are banging on about her sense of humour. Good on her though!

(Although I notice Prince Phillip choose a rather more boring mode of transport - what a spoilsport!)
