Despite really missing home and wanting to see the crew and Serenity again (and have them swoop in for a big damn rescue) she took to meeting people, making friends, and making stuff.
One of the most notable things she has done in the city is become the weapons maker (female Leonardo!) for the assassin brotherhood. She views its leader, Ezio Auditore, as she does her Captain, Malcolm Reynolds. She loves her captain/master assassin. And her "brother" Desmond Miles. She also earns many linefaces from Ezio with her during-meeting antics with one of the new assassins Kate Freelander.
She never set up an actual business, working instead off of random jobs via word of mouth and for the assassins.
One benefit she's used a few times already is that being close with the assassins gains her protection if things go south. It's ironic she can make their weapons but is crap in a fight of any kind.
