Actually... I got the book, but my mom has a copy of the new movie too. I'm a fan of the mini series so the movie isn't my whole wide world but I do think it's done quite well. And it certainly is pretty ;)

Sounds like you've been having a decently good time, temporary loss of your top, aside.

I hope your friend cheers up. What gaming systems does she play on? (And what kind of games does she like.) I might be able to rec a few.

Friend cheering is always good. It makes the having fun even more special. :)

She owns a PS2. I think she plays pretty much anything from Sims to RPGs (Final Fantasy vein), but the games I've traditionally been seeking and buying are action/adventure games. So far I've gotten her Dark Angel, Alias, Constantine and now Death By Degrees. I don't generally buy the newest games though since I'm just a poor student ;)

Has she tried Shadow of Destiny? I heart that game! And there's also Vagrant Story if she likes old school Yaz/Squaresoft, which is one of my favorites.

And if you like to play games where you can co-op then I really highly recommend the Baldur's Gates and the Champions of Norrath. They are a lot of fun. :)

As for action adventure games both my husband and I really lovled the Onimusha's.
