thanksgiving nightmare

so i'm actually trying to make a thanksgiving this year into less of a party and more into a traditional dinner. people don't seem to understand this. Dinner means i'm limited in seating, so no, you can't bring everyone you know - yes, i would normally be very welcoming but.. no, this is thanksgiving dinner! please understand what you're getting

they probably heard that ridiculous story about the indians and the pilgrims sittind down at a large table giving thanks over a large (cough cough) "turkey".

but NO, you tell them that the pilgrims killed the indians, there wasn't enough food to go around, no one shared anything (except maybe bullets), the turkey was actually some extinct hybrid version of a pheasant, and there will be no random Germans nor friendless Americans at the very space limited table!
