I really liked the first in the series. The second here... there was so much angst! "I'm an aware teenager!" "I'm a self-made god!" "I want to know the future, too!" "I'm not your old friend! I'm not! I'm... oh, fine!" I did not dislike this one, mind you. It's just, well, okay. I do not apologize for spoilers,

I think that 'Children of Dune' is my favorite of the series.

Nah Alia is always annoying, but as far as angst goes Dune stuff has nothing on Harry Potter and the Very teenage year (aka 5)

I guess I never thought of Alia as being annoying so much as just obstinate. As far as angst, someone else gets rather angsty forthcoming, but rather deservedly so.
