1. Mr. And Mrs. Weasley where so convinced that Ginny would be a boy, that Mrs. Weasley never bothered to find out the sex of their 7th child and already had his name decided. Gideon Matthew Weasley. Arthur fainted when the healer announced, “It’s a Girl!”
2. The decided Ginerva Molly Weasley because Molly had brought a blanket she had knitted with those initials. Ginevra was Molly’s mother.
3. It was Ron who gave her the nickname of Ginny. He couldn’t pronounce Ginevra.
4. Ginny hates being called Ginerva because it usually means she’s in trouble. (I’m sure you can imagine Molly standing at the bottom of the stairs at the Borrow shouting, “GINEVRA MOLLY WEASLEY!”) Although a certain some one has sometimes whispered the name Ginerva in her ear she’s quite liked it.
5. Though she is quite close to Ron, she’s always looked up to Bill. He’s her favorite.
6. It was Bill who first suggested she use the brooms of her older brothers to practice Quidditch when she complained to him about none of the others letting her play. Of course he had been joking when he’d said it.
7. From the time she was 6, her favorite time to ride a broom was early in the morning just as the sun was rising. Of course it was the safest as well. None of her brothers ever got up that early.
8. The first time they knew for sure she was witch (not that there was ever any question) was when she was 5 and made the small pond behind their house freeze over because she wanted to go ice skating. (it was June)
9. Ginny knew that boy with messy brown hair and glasses was Harry Potter the first moment she saw him. He was her first crush and when Ron’s first letter home arrived telling he had made friends with Harry, she nearly died.
10. She has forever been embarrassed about the Valentine she sent to Harry in her first year. She never really thought he’d figure it out.
11. It was a long time before she ever became really afraid of Tom. He was such a good friend and listener at a time when she greatly needed it. Even as she began to suspect the diary was evil, it was a long time before she could convince herself to through it down the toilet in the girls’ bathroom.
12. She still has nightmares about that year, about Tom and the day she was taken into the Chamber. In her first summer back it was Bill who often comforted her.
13. Though still crushing on Harry, Ginny was delighted when Neville asked her to the Yule Ball. He might not be the best at magic, but he was such a gentleman.
14. Her first kiss was from Neville on that same night. However after that they both decided it was better to stay friends.
15. Despite how often she has proven how good she is with magic, her brothers still tend to over-protect her. Especially Ron.
16. However sometimes it has been Ginny who’s protected them, especially from their mother. It was Ginny who hid certain incriminating, errr… documents when their mother decided to do a little spring-cleaning of the boys’ rooms. She hasn’t let them forget that.
17. Harry’s a much better kisser than Michael or Dean ever was.
18. However there is only one person who makes Ginny become so weak that she can hardly stand and makes her head spin. And that is Draco Malfoy. However most of the family doesn’t know that yet.
“When will you tell them?”
“Soon.”
“What is soon Ginny?”
“They need to get used to you first. Used to having you around, on our side. Then I’ll tell them. Okay?”
“Okay. But you’re going to have to make it up to me some how. All the time I can’t spend holding you because we are around your family.
“Oh really?”
19. Ginny dislikes wearing black on holidays and summer break because she wears it every day during the school year. Her chosen colors are anything that sets off her hair and skin tone. Such as shades of green and blue and sometimes the right color red.
20. It took her several years before she felt she could fully confide in Hermione. She was always afraid that Hermione would tell her secrets to Ron and Harry. However she learned that Hermione needed a close girl friend just as much as Ginny did. Ever since that moment of realization, the two have been the best of friends and confide in each other often.
