Aaahh, I SERIOUSLY have no idea where this came from. I read the prompt and this just slammed into me like a freight train. It almost scares me that something like this is ( Read more... )

Very interesting take on just what those powers could to to a child! Was that woman Mercury (her past/possible self) or Moon, out of curiosity?

Oh wow. I am still shivering with the horrors you have painted for us. I am so glad this piece hit you like a freight train because it is by far some of your best writing (and I love all of your work!). I love your take on the quote. Very, very eery but oh so good!

Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed it-- writing it was surprisingly easy. It's amazing what a good prompt will do to jolt the muses awake :-)

*reverts to basic language 'cause she's too awestruck*
You beautiful, creepy-sexy, wonderful mistress of Ami-chan-ness *__*
It ìs such a powerful piece, so vivid, especially when her pent-up powers explode... and those final lines O_O *_* .

*blushes*

Thank you, Elianthos!! Your reviews always make my day. I just had this image in my head of Ami trying to get away, trying to deny her own nature, and water just searching for her, hunting her, and always, always finding her. Nothing stops water, after all, not damns or canals or pipes. It always finds a way out. :-)

That was the whole idea behind this piece: the 'servant/master' idea. Their powers are, well, powerful and these are just young girls. I wanted to explore the possibility that it might've actually gone wrong!!!

I am incredibly impressed. Incredibly, incredibly impressed. Beautiful language, haunting setting and the loss of identity is so eerily described, it made me shiver. Very very good, just WOW!

I love the boot imprints in the snow. Lovely touch.

Also, delighted to see you're still kicking around! I was thinking about you the other day, wondering how you are.
