I read most of this book standing up in my university bookstore (I'm cheap that way).

What stood out most to me was Calliope's teenage years when she's super-popular with girl friends who just want to cuddle with her etc. *g*

Oh, and the mermaid scene.

Reading your post makes me realize how many things I've forgotten X-D

Haha, I did that for comics at the Virgin Megastore. They had sofas there and I read entire collection, just sitting there ^^;

I loved the scene in the pool with the Obscure Object of desire. And yeah, the mermaid scene quite stuck in my head.

This book deserves to be read more than once, I think.
