When waiting for a return email, what is the appropriate amount of time one should spend staring blankly at the screen and hitting refresh? Is three hours excessive? Is five? Doesn't anybody live on their computer anymore?

That's why I often leep it in "live" mode - it refreshes every time someone updates!

Or... do you mean Yahoo or other WebMail? Don't think they have live mode *g* - but I've been known to refresh those often, too. :)

Yeah, I've got that set up too! I'm actually thinking of disabling it because sometimes it trumpets its little update noise and when I look I can't see any changes at all. Just an added comment somewhere I guess.

Nah, just my Outlook. I do have it set to check mail every five minutes, but I don't trust it when I'm waiting for something so I'll sit here and hit Send/Receive every few seconds *just in case*.
