what we have here is a failure to communicate.
I took the dog out extra early with my camera this morning because I wanted to take a picture of a note I saw taped to someone's front door yesterday on my way back from downtown. When I worked in a used bookstore I would buy boxes of books and then have to go through each one pulling out whatever its former owner had used as a bookmark. You wouldn't believe what I found in there - love notes, hate notes, birth certificates, old pictures, playing cards, pressed flowers etc. etc. I wound up saving a lot of it and pasting it into a book. I would have done a second volume but we went out of business before I could start.
