Well hey. Ok, nothing too new to report on, besides maybe my day. I turned in my stuff for my women's studies final, then drove to Staples, walked around town a bit, and picked up my apartment key. Moving to a new town can be scary. I know you'll make lots of new friends - you seem to have a talent for that. Staples isn't all that far away, so you can come and visit when you have time. You'll probably have access to the internet through the school or local library. You won't lose your friends...just remember to keep in touch!

I know, and I'm just still kinda nervous, but if this doesn't work, I can always come back, my mom said she'd love it if I came back. So it's not really like there's a fail in here.

You can't 'fail' at life, Alissa. All of our experiences have a purpose. You can INTERPRET an experience as a failure, but I would NEVER think of you or anything you did as a failure. You're a remarkable person, and it takes courage to move away from the security of your family. GO FOR IT!
