Incest! Bastards! Dashing lords! Unfortunate maids! Naked Gerion! This is a set of drabbles about those who serve - for the Prompt Weekend | no spoilers | 8x100 words
I think number 4 may actually be my favorite, but it was a hard choice.
ETA: Although, this is my favorite part:
The girl who cried until the sobs nearly choked her on the eve before her wedding; the stiff-necked scoundrel who wanted nothing more than to be a pirate; the fierce cub who should have died in battle but died in his bed; the kind boy who doesn't have the stomach for war but fights them, relentlessly; the boy who grew up too fast, stone-faced and iron-fisted because he no longer finds a use for his heart. .
Thank you! I had fun trying to get Lann into a drabble and now I will hold on to the crack theory that the Lannisters are founded by him and a servant girl. :)
Ooooh, these are all brilliant, as was to be expected. I think, objectively speaking, #5 is really the best since it packs quite an emotional punch. Well, subjectively, I adored #8, whcih was also to be expected, but I did need some self-indulgent happiness to make me smile... And: Pia! Who has a happy ending! With Brienne! ♥
Thank you so much. I was actually thinking about you when I wrote #8 - the addition of Pia was for me, I love her and I want her to have a good life and Jaime punishing the men who raped her is one of the most satisfying little details in the books. :D
Actually, I like Pia, too, and I was so horrified at what happened to her in ASOS, but at least, she didn't end up out on the streets or in a brothel somewhere in canon, but with some way of earning her livelihood and being more or less safe. However, I like your ending even better: She will always be warm and never hungry, and either Jaime or Brienne would bash in the head of everyone who dared to lay a finger upon her, poor thing.

And that quote is basically me summarizing why I love that generation of Lannisters. :)

The 5th one is wonderful too, though almost unbearably melancholic. This is awesome writing, hope you post more!.
