almost human after all

Boo.

Yeah, I'm still alive, I just haven't signed in here in over a month. Wacky. I've had a real lack of emotional energy for things like this over the last month (more, really), and I've been spending a lot more time in my fannish spaces. (I am way too behind on my flist here to ever catch up. Not that you should have to, but if something ( Read more... )

I flew Aer Lingus in 04. It was direct flight, which was nice, they had my vegetarian meal, and they don;t allow cd players.

No CD players? I don't like the sound of that, though if I have to in order to afford to go . . . :/ Thanks for the info, hon.

I rather liked Inside Man. I watched it primarily for Jodie Foster, but Clive Owen is all kinds of awesome. Nice performances from Denzel and Christopher Plummer as well. The plot's good imo, kept me guessing.

Speaking of Netflix though, I just used my parents account to finally get around to watching Boys Don't Cry and Driving Miss Daisy.

Thanks, I'll look into it!

Oh god, Boys Don't Cry. Have tissues ready and possibly someone to clutch at.

Oh yeah. I walked out of the room I'd shut myself in to watch it by myself and I'm pretty sure my pupils were fully dilated thanks to the amount of adrenaline I was running on. I ultimately had to talk a little with my mom (about completely unrelated stuff that dealt with here and now), have a texting convo with Sara, and talk on the phone with Lex (plus a little more the next day).

I was a mess because I always slip into movies easily and that invisible barrier of reality between myself and the screen kind of disappears. Then too the near end really got me. Somehow I sincerely thought that maybe this time Brandon'd make it, and then... of course he didn't. The worst part of it was of course that I am dating a transguy. And all I could think of was that this could've been Lex. (shivers)

So yeah. Amazing movie, but one I could happily forgo watching it again for a very long time.

PS I meant to add that I've flown into Dublin, but via the much more tame Delta XD. But if you're flying around Europe, I recommend RyanAir. They're the bargain basement of bargain basements, but they get you there and they're cheap. Anyway, that sounds awesome!

This is a bit random and out of the blue, but was it you who liked Carla Speed McNeil? It's just that I'm going to Stumptown Comics Fest this weekend and will be trying to collect autographs for people, but I can't remember who likes who, haha.

Yeah, that was probably me. *_* Finder is pretty much my ideal comic, as much as anything can be.

If that's an offer, it's an extremely generous one! Don't put yourself out, yeah?

Ohshit I should really post to this journal again sometime.
