by current standards, it is. people at work talk about "web 2.0," this is web 1.5 at best. everything good now has feeds, is centralized, is cross-platform. this has none of that, it's out of the way in every way.
True; as I'm looking to have a "public face" of sorts, it's fairly useless. LJ's strongest when used by communities (and individuals) that benefit from its high level of internal interactivity and relative privacy.

I've missed you as well! I never meant to drift off so completely. I'd say that I'm most readily available through email (I don't remember if you have my address - these days I primarily use allison.kleber at gmail), as well as twitter and deviantart. (I'm on Facebook, too, though that really just winds up being an intermediary for email contact.) It's always good to hear from you, and I've been enjoying your recent work. I took down the details for the Baritarian Boy contest, actually, but unfortunately the timing hasn't been good.
