awooo! I love Rurouni Kenshin too! I generally like brooding men too but my favour rather runs to Kenshin this time! He's just so sweet and righteous! I used to say he's the perfect husband material: he cleans, washes the dishes, does the laundry, does grocery, eats whatever you cook! -giggle-

Ah, but how well you manhandled his character. X3 As always, loved the rollercoaster of emotions you let your readers ride with Chiaki. I'm glad he was able to reconcile his misgivings and insecurities with what's really important to him.
And Nodame: you go, girl! XD It's good she didn't settle for that inadequate, albeit funny and endearing, attempt of her coward of a boyfriend to maneuver her into marriage. (He deserves the torture of a gushy, melodramatic proposal, doesn't he? XD) And that she didn't mollycoddle him or ran to him or comprised herself. . . It's amazing how Nodame can be so patient and poignantly profound about some things ( ... )
