I've been playing with HTML since about 1997. I'm nowhere near professional, but... I've picked up a lot of knowledge with me along the way. :)

Most people with little knowledge of HTML would... probably not be able to do a layout like mine in under 5 hours. :) Heh.

I can help you if you'd like. I don't work with S2, though, only S1. :)

The main difference between S1 and S2 is that S2 makes your comments pages appear like your journal...and S1 doesn't.

S2 is in beta, and I hate it right now. :)

Wow, I agree with everything in your description except the whole voting for Arnold thing. Though you would have to exchange "hitler" for "generic dead baby" for best jokes ever. That and I do not pay my phone bill, and it has been disconnected many times.
