One week old update

Well, Melody has passed the one week mark, and when I checked on Friday, she was at 2750g. However, this weekend, she has been able to hold her head up. The staff say that fast, but then again, she takes after daddy in this case. Today, I also saw her smile, albeit briefly. That was good news. And she can find the nipple by herself better than ( Read more... )

Wow that's great :)

I'm surprised with the head holding up and smiling... :) That is early. Alex has been also early with all his milestones. Alex was 2 months old or so when he held his head up for a long time and smiling around 3 months (smiling in meaning responding to us and not just imitating) :D I love the toothless smiles of newborns :))

Have fun moving Melody in tomorrow! I loved going home and being HOME. The hospital is one place I don't like staying too long in. Their food is great but it's boring there without Hubby and Furkids :)

I don't like the hospital since it's far away from me to require wheels to get there. And the only reason why she's there so long is due to the c-section. But I'm in a boring mood right now.

Yea I figured that much - it's not like ya live right in Centrum anymore.

I know about the c-section thing but I thought the nurses were being fanatics about the breastfeeding as they're known to be. I put my foot down to them and told them it was going fine and to let me go home. I hope the c-section is healing fine. I'm sure you're helping her with Melody as far as carrying as one can't carry loads of things in the beginning, according to my SIL who's had 3 c-sections.

In due time you will get into new routines, it will take some time, but I am confident both of you will do great!

(However, please do not spam this journal on the leaving part.)

I don't understand a thing, per usual. I dare to write though that going home may be a good thing, I just hope you get the support you need :)

I think you understand my position better than you thought at the time, especially when I came with Line. BTW, thanks again for listening to me and with support, both with me, and with Line. I think Helena thinks the same as well. :)
