give it time, but if you stay unhappy, don't stay. You only do college once, do it right. By this I am not saying come to maryland, I'm saying find a place you will be happy because for serious, you may have just not found it yet. Being out on your own is hard at first, but you will make friends. You are a very sweet, fun-loving girl. But if the people aren't people who will make you happy, find a place where they will. And don't assume Maryland will just because it is home, because that isn't always the case. I love it here now, but there have been more times than I care to think about where I have really been unhappy with the people around me at Maryland. Give it a chance though, maybe you just haven't found your niche just yet. Good luck :)

hey i'm on the 9th floor too!
i agree w/ above, give it time. although adjustment takes a long time. even though i'm in baltimore i still feel awkward! but it's nice hanging out with my roommates and students during the week and then seeing my boyfriend or my friends on the weekends, and sometimes integrating the two. but yeah it's def been tough for me and i can't imagine even right now being out of the state, but i'm that kind of person. i'm glad i decided on mica, and am glad i'm home but not home....
