Summer Reading List

This summer I hope to acquaint myself with some classics and move towards being what some may term well-read. Below is my list of books I plan to read this summer. I'll cross them off once I'm done and I'll be trying to review the ones I find more interesting. If I've missed any you think I should read, don't hesitate to comment and offer ( Read more... )

I believe I already mentioned this on Spacefem, but if you want something you can read intermittently between the other books you're reading, I highly recommend Ryunosuke Akutagawa's "Rashomon and 17 Other Stories." His stories are the ones I enjoyed most in my Japanese Lit class.

I'll keep an eye out for it and make a note of it - it sounds like it might be difficult to get hold of, any ideas?

Have you read Lord of the Flies, To Kill a Mockingbird, or Oliver Twist? I know you already have a Dickens book on there, but Oliver Twist is so good.

Yeah, I've read all of those, but they probably actually all bear re-reading. I'll keep them in mind in case of the crazy occurrence that I actually finish this reading list.
