When is somebody aka writers of television shows I like going to grow a set of balls?

Supernatural, Teen Wolf, Grimm, pick any of the supernatural shows (or any of the other offerings aside from comedy on television) do we see a gay couple at the forefront of a show. To me it reads like "oh, we can't offend the male watchers of these shows because they want masculine grunts and no girly stuff." A detective can't be macho if he's gay

The soap operas really bravely went into the breach, I have to say. Luke was a central, gay character for years on As the World Turns and had not one, but two highly featured gay relationships.
