Nutrisystem Update

I finally gave in and decided to try it, I've been on it nine weeks and have dropped twenty pounds. The basic level is cheaper but you can't substitute as far as I can tell. I have loads of food choices but don't like the "bars" that you can eat for lunch. Sweet taste will only make me crave more sweets. The breakfast is okay either cereal or ( Read more... )

I've lost so much weight doing things like that, but I can never maintain it :/

I've been a yo-yo dieter since my teens but now that I'm getting older the weight can bring a multitude of issues forward. I'm not diabetic thank goodness but he extra weight isn't good for my heart health or my weight bearing bones. So, honestly, I've got to change the way I've eaten permanently or it's been a total waste of effort. It's been too easy to fall into seeing the weight come slip sliding back over the years. I do need to find a reasonable maintenance program for afterwards (assuming I meet goal) and that will be a challenge for sure. I smoke too and want to quit eventually so that will be the double whammy on trying to keep it off long term.
