There's ten centimeters deep snow in Paris and it's supposed to go on snowing tomorrow. I love the view (especially in my garden), a little less the prospect of walking to the metro station.
It was good to meet you too! I hope we weren't too OTT *g*
I know what you mean about the odd looks - I really enjoy chatting about fannish things with my fellow-aficionados (or rather, aficionadas) but not with just anyone!
Hope I get the chance to make it to the annual December bash this year and that we see you then (at the very least!) if not before. The December one is the only regular London meet-up afaik, but who knows what other occasions may arise before then.
I hope we weren't too OTT *g* Not at all! It was fun! :D
I don't really talk about fannish things with my best friends at all, but I sometimes mention things, such as when I saw a gold Capri, I got rather excited and they pointed out it was weird to be happy over seeing a car. They don't understand the significance of a Golden Capri. :) It was lovely to talk to you all knowing you wouldn't act like I was being weird for talking about such things. :D
It would be wonderful to meet you in December as well, I hope nothing comes up to prevent me from attending. Though if there is a meet before then, than that would be nice too. :D
Yay for your first Pros-y meet-up! Good to hear that you had such a great time!
We've had a similar amount of snow to you, but apparently there's a bucketful on its way here tonight and tomorrow. Should be fun, as long as it doesn't turn to ice. That's the bit I hate...
It was really cool to be at the Scarsdale and all the Pros-y people were really friendly! :D
Yes I agree, Snow is great but the ice isn't so great. :) Apparently we've got more on the way as well but it seems to me that it has already started to thaw here. :)
Yay, it was really good to meet you, and yes, wasn't it fun walking through a snowy Hyde Park? Hope to catch up with you again sooner rather than later *g*
I'm so glad you enjoyed it - what weather to venture out in to meet random internet strangers!
I do like being able to chat about Pros without, yes, the odd looks, whether shocked or merely resigned. But really, given the other things said in that pub (I am thinking of the neighbours on the table next to us), we had absolutely no cause for embarrassment at all :)
random internet strangers! Not strangers any more. :D
I do wonder though what their full conversation was actually about, I think we only caught part of it; but then again do we really want to know? :D lol
