We are in the middle of a cold snap. As coldness goes, it is thirty degrees, dipping down into the twenties at night. For Seattle, that is cold. It hasn't been this cold in fifteen years

Me, I was born here, I don't mind, excpet for the wind. But at least it's not Minneapolis ...

It was -20 today, but that's downright balmy compred to eastern Montana, who were pushing -38. I hear that around -40 your skin will freeze if left exposed for 5 minutes.

We tried to tell Joanne that JW can't afford to charge items that are beyond her budget, but Joanne insists that she has the settlement coming so it shouldn't matter.It sounds like Joanne has some problems dealing with reality. This kind of budgetary mismanagement makes me want to bang my head against the wall. If you guys are looking after JW, I don't thinnk Joanne has a right to decide what she gets to control, and what you do. JW is with you for care. Of course I don't know all the details, laws, or even the broader picture - but it seems asinine for someone removed from the day to day, like Joanne, to make money decisions about JW (especially her credit), when you guys are the ones running the budget

The thing is, Joanne has huge influence over JW. She convinces JW that this is the best way to do things -- for example, promising to take her shopping to buy things she wants if she goes along with it.

So legally, if JW consents to Joanne handling her money, Joanne is in her right.

I suspect Joanne is a little slow herself.

This might take some intense consulting with my supervisors.
