My first comic strip that actually has a little bit of storyline.
I had a week off for school was closed during spring break, and I spent most of it working on this piece. If I could meet the deadline, which is three weeks away, I will have my second doujinshi on sale in my first Doujinshi event on May 4th. These pages will be included in my next Doujinshi.
Telling a story is just hard, even if it is technically not a story - hey isn't this what they call YAOI? There's no climax, no punch line, and no meaning. I really don't know the official definition of Yaoi though.
The story changed as I drew along, and at the end it didn't resemble what I had planned before I started. Guess I didn't have a good story to tell at the beginning.
Here's what I _intended_ to tell in this set:
Time: Sirius and Remus are in their second year. Remus hasn't told the truth that he's a werewolf. But Sirius knows.
Place: A room in Hogwart.
Characters: Sirius and Remus.
Setting: Before Remus leaves for the Shrek, Sirius catches him and they chat.
Theme: Remus lies, and Sirius doesn't demand the truth.
I am disappointed at my story telling ability. I am determined to make my next one a _lot_ better.
Other things to be improved:
1. I can't draw 13 years old kids. I can't capture their facial expressions and gestures. There're multiple times that I erased their faces again and again until I tore the paper apart because they looked older than I wanted. Must practise.
2. I had problems with the size of the conversation bubbles.
If you find any of the text weird, or if you have better words/phrases, or if you think that it's better if I rephrase some of the texts, please please please advise. My vocab is very limited, and I definitely need help to make it better. (See how many "better"s I've used? Sigh. I truly hate myself for that. )
Also, if you find anything that I should improve on, please do tell. Your comments and suggestions will definitely help me grow and become a better (fan)artist.
Lastly, thank you for those who help support my doujinshi effort. *bow*
