First attempt of NC17 fanart...
Consider there's no public display of sexual activity nor reproductive organs, this might not be NC17 at all.

- waccawheels and I had a discussion days ago about how much lj comments mean to us fanartists. In our conversation, I somehow mentioned that I couldn't draw gay porn because I don't find the male genitalia very, um, artistic. I lied. The truth is that I don't know how to draw male genitalia. I can't draw male nude. I realize I can't ignore this anymore and I am determined to learn to draw good porn. Also, I'm going to make illustrations for big_bang_hd, so it would be beneficial to practice a little beforehand.
- Harry's pose is taken from a piece of photograph of Mapplethorpe. Looking at his work is like the ultimate push to the edge of my limit.
- When I finished the draft, I put it on the floor, stared at it and thought, "this is no porn. This is a study of male body. Not sexy. Not arousing. Not nothing. Oh screw it. " And then I inked it.
- The shadow on both boys might be wrong - I don't know. My brain is not good enough to process all the lights, and I haven't drawn enough to feel them.
- The finished work is a bit too technical, not artsy enough to my liking. I might do a copic bw version like this, but I need to figure out what exactly those biceps and triceps and all the back muscles look like before I can paint them, and this takes time. I suck at drawing both male and female nude.
- A question for all artists - any advice for drawing male body, thin and fat, young and old? Are there any books, or even porn, out there which you find helpful in drawing nude?
