serpentinelion's Fantasy Fest prompt #53 - I would love an AU with Harry, Draco and no magic. Magic never existed but Harry and Draco did. Easy, right? -- . They serve as the prologue of a semi-long comic.

These two pics are the prologue of an AU comic that I’ve planned out for the challenge but haven’t started. It will be a semi-long story and I’ll be posting it chapters by chapters. I’m a bit scared of writing comics longer than 10 pages, but it would be a good practice for sure. For now, I’m just gonna call my unborn comic Untitled.
Thanks everyone for your wonderful advice on my last watercolor painting. Now I know various techniques to make the paper less uneven (though I still can’t get one of those special drawing board) and that I’ve been using student-grade paints all my life. The box of Cotman (Winsor and Newton) I’ve been using was the first high(er)-grade watercolor that I own, and it was bought before I graduated University, which was, like, >5 years ago? (Yeah I took it with me to Japan. No art = no life. T‘s that simple. ) One thing I like about watercolor is that an 8ml tube goes a LONG way. I wonder if there’s an expiration date for watercolor paints, though. Hmm.
Got a box of Holbein 18-colors the other day. Sadly, my frugal nature had pulled me back to my Cotman (*curses self*), thus my shiny new box of paint’s still in shiny shrink-wrap.
I haven’t yet looked into places for watercolor paper. So far the closest store for stationary supplies only carries cream-colored paper with a rather rough surface, and thus I went back to my 150yen/10 sheet paper again. It looks purplish when scanned, but at least it doesn't look like rusty parchment paper.
I still don’t have a clue on how to render black in watercolor. Harry’s hair and jacket were done ad-lib style. I wish I could redo the left side of Harry’s jacket, if that were ever possible.
Draco’s piece required more brain than Harry’s. I had reference pictures for both Draco and the background, but the lighting of those pictures didn’t match. I had to discard one reference and come up with my own lighting scheme, which is not a very wise thing to do for a non-veteran.
