Two colored art (as a continuation of these b/w drawings) .

Couple weeks ago I was introduced to this awesome H/D fic (If Wishes Were Horses by themostepotente). Not only was it witty and funny and brilliantly written, but the sweetness and horniness awkwardness of love and sex between the boys had made me squee until my throat sore. As much as I like angst and war fic, there are times I just want to see them happily shag while not having to worry about saving the world or killing or being killed.
Anyway, the image of Draco and the carousel from the fic kept flashing in my head for days, and I decided to put it on paper. It turns out that the thing behind Draco doesn't quite look like a carousel. In fact it doesn't look like anything at all. Draco looks very different from the rough draft, and something's wrong with his nostrils. Despite all the whining, though, this painting might be my favorite piece of all the watercolor art that I've done. Perhaps it's the light blue of Draco's shirt in contrast to the cobalt blue at the back, or perhaps it's the bright yellow reflected on Draco's hair. Or maybe I just love to see him smile.
As for the one with Harry, I didn't put too much heart in it. I figured as long as I got the SLR and the scar right, it would be fine.
These are going to be the front and back cover of my new fanzine in August. I'm supposed to come up with a story from these drawings for the fanzine, but my mind is still filled with scenes in the fic I don't know what to do. :-(
