So I checked
hd_holidays this morning before work and saw my gift fic posted.
"Be a good girl and wait until weekend, will you?" said my guardian angel. "What if you got lucky again and received killer h/d fic? You need your brain at work!"
My resident evil showed up. "It won't hurt reading it during lunch break," it said. "Besides, if it's from one of those writers you worship, you'd want to read it asap and send them love."
"You can send them love during the weekend!" angel insisted. "But you can't afford to have your post-fic bliss again! Not when there's tons of work to do and deadlines are tight!"
"Ah! Post-fic bliss ♥" said I.
So I read my gift fic during lunch break at Starbucks, came back to work grinning with my cheeks flushed, left work early, and drew fanart. Two hours later, my peace is finally returned to me again.
Fanart for The Kiss
This is probably the most impulsive fanart I've ever done. I always prefer my art more complex, but I'll deal with complexity later. This urge to "just draw something" kills all kinds of patience.
I was going to draw the last scene as it's so so so beautiful, but I need more time to think of a good angle and color combo, so I'll leave that one for another time.
Here's the link to my gift fic:
The Kiss (h/d, R, dark theme). Don't read if you don't like dark fics, but do read if you appreciate good fics, especially rare gems like this one you don't want to miss out. And if you like dark themed stories as much as I do, definitely go read it. :-)
Here let me give my sincere thanks to the brilliant anon writer. I'll write a proper comment over at the comm to express my appreciation as soon as I'm coherent enough.
