So I saw Frayach posting her last final ficlet before going to bed last night this morning at about 2am. And I clicked on the lj cut. Bad decision

*Sigh*. This is perfect. Your art and her writing = Pie's OTP, really.
I have read the ficlet; such a simple scene and yet so effective and powerful. I see them as an outsider, and I know I'll never understand them ...and I should be honoured, touched, even, to just be graced with an opportunity to see them both at that moment.
Which you capture so perfectly. Better than what's in my mind; love that you use the strong dark (4B?) pencils ... that stark colour and the delicate details that is your signature, just come together so perfectly. Love the way that Draco's jacket is slightly open; there's a wind, is there? And we cannot see Draco's face at all, only Harry's. Makes me wonder what they're thinking about...
Your comment really interests me because it captures exactly what I was trying to say with the ficlet. In many ways, that's the beauty of H/D, and that's why many people (or maybe I'm just speaking for myself, but I don't think so) love the pairing: it's so mysterious and unlikely (i.e. how can these two characters have ever fallen in love?). There's something sly and secret about them and this relationship we've created.
Urgh, I don't think this is conveying at all what I really mean . . .
Anyway, this ficlet embodies my "new" relationship with H/D - the relationship in which I can no longer write. I am now on the outside looking in, unable to take part in the imaginative process, and I see myself as one of the third-parties in the fic - someone cut off from the secrets.
Anyway, my new clumsiness with words is causing this come off garbbled and incoherent. I hope you can translate it into some form of meaningful communication ;)
beautiful :) *gazes at it dreamily* i'm very much in love with harry's jacket there! their poses also really stand out and are so expressive. it's a very interesting piece of art.
