You know I can relate on the mom difficulties. Moving out was the best thing that has ever happened to me. My mom and I were constantly at eachothers throats and I was just hating life. But moving out made it much much better. Granted...I'm pretty far away. Don't get me wrong, she still drives me insane from time to time...and she still loves to critisize and whisper about me to Jill (who is like my best friend...s o why does Susan think she's not going to tell me?) But it doesn't bother me nearly as much because I have my own life now and LOTS more important things to worry about. It still hurts but, you know...
And also, getting out of Luling was GREAT for me, too. I got to start a whole new life and not have to worry about that little fish bowl. I know apartments and houses are probably hard to come by....but maybe you and Derek could look into something like that when he gets out of school?
Don't get too down on yourslef. You always have friends and a fiancee that love you...focus on that!
I can understand being frustrated. Living at home can suck after a while. Your parents continue to treat like a child when you are growing up. I had some problems with my mom as well because i was pregnant. And i moved out. She didnt want anything to do with me for a while but ya know after some time we talked some and got over everything. Me and my mom are the best of friends now. When you dont live with them any more things get so much better for some reason. Im not sure why. Maybe its because you are more free, i dunno. Maybe staing with your friend is good for now and then when derek comes in you can really get settled. I know i didnt move that far from my mom but far enough that if i needed her she could be here. Which works for me. I hope that you can overcome this and be a better person for it.
