Anyone care to bail ME out?

The last few days have been strange ones. I did get a few facts wrong in regards to Margaret's dad. The second opinion was given to him only TWO DAYS before he passed. They told him he had less than a month and things just went down from there ( Read more... )

This is the worst time to be looking for a job; but don't let it get you down. We're in the same boat bb; but we just gotta hold our heads up and persevere! You will get a job (or at least, an offer) within the week; that's my prediction. :)

Okay Rose, that is really weird. You're some kinda good luck charm!
I just got a call from an agency (this will be my SIXTH, Aerotek for those playing the home game), regarding a position I applied for online. It's an 'Office Clerk' (read: office lackey...probably, haha) position in NW Portland (nice area though!), but it's only a 3-month contract position and really, is paying peanuts. However, I'm at the point of desperation, I will more than likely take it, if offered. I just hope things are better in three months (*cough* depends on who's in office *cough*)

If that doesn't pan out I have an interview on Monday with my SEVENTH temp agency. Go Adecco!

Thanks for being a cheerleader, it totally helps. I'm just glad I'm not alone! It really is a jungle out there!

some cheerleader :/
anyway...
I told you!! :)) Anyway, you know the old myth about 'it's easier to get a job when you have a job' so take something! It's alllll stepping stones! We look to be stuck here for at least another month...so start telling old man winter to lay off until about January 30th or so...to be safe. I hope change comes swiftly...damned economy. From a program I caught today, we're in one of the worst hit parts of the country ('we' being the entire pacific coast, except for Alaska and Washington..) apparently, things are gravy in Texas and Colorado; too bad I have no desire to live in either of those options.
At any rate; BIG Congratulations on the progress! If nothing else, it definitely helps to alleviate some of the *lack of anything* frustrations!
Job offers will be good for you; I just know it. ;)
