yes, but only to wheen them off the drug slowly so the withdraws arnt horrible on them.

maybe if it is in a controlled setting, sort of like the comment above. if you give them needles, it's like saying that it is o.k., and it's giving them more opportunities to make it dirty and re-use it. however if you can see to it that they are trying to get off of the addiction with a clean needle, then it could be healthy i suppose....

yes clean needles should be distributed. when it comes to trying to keep people healthy, you shouldn't make value judgments about their lifestyle. it keeps a virus in check and that matters. curbing drug addiction is another issue that should be worked on separately

no, i think that if they want to get off drugs thats what rehab centers are for. i'm sorry that they are hooked on drugs but we shouldn't support their habit. thats "enabling"... we dont give alcoholics a beer to help wean them off...
