If I were going to live in another country, I would not only get there legally but I would also learn they're language before moving there. that's not saying they can't use their own language, but seriously, this country was built on english. why should we have to double up languages in our schools just because your too lazy to learn the primary language of the country that you want to live in?

I agree with Scrub. Even though we've never had an official language, English has obviously been the primary language since the country was founded. You have to know English in the U.S. to succeed. If you were going to move to Rome, for example, you wouldn't function very well until you started picking up Italian. Plus, I'm curious what the Italian government does with people they find living in their county illegally.
Plus, if you think about it, we're allowing millions of Mexicans and people from Centeral and South American to flood over the border to do primarily manual labor, when the tech geniuses and Ph.D.'s from India, China, and Europe have to wait years and years for a chance to come here. We'll let a impoverished Mexican get away with coming here illegally who is happy cleaning horse stalls, but we make a doctor from Europe or Asia that wants to come here to work on curing cancer or CF wait ten years. It doesn't make sense.
