I don’t like it here. There are a lot of scary people. Mom said all of them are nice and the only nice person here is the teacher. She would pat my head whenever I get scared and would tell me ..“It’s alright Yoseob-ah,
they’re all nice!” she’s pretty bubbly though. But sometimes, I just wish I had atleast one friend. A friend that I can rely on, a friend that will always be by my side whenever I have problems.
“Hey!” I heard another voice besides mine. I look up to see
a boy who seems…. Decent.
“H-hello…” I hesitated. “Don’t worry, I don’t bite.” he lends his hand while giving me a smile. “I’m Doojoon, and you?” I held his hand and pulled me up from the ground. Wait, since when was I on the ground? “Y-Yoseob… you seem… nice…” I said.
He laughed at my response.
“H-Huh? What’s so funny?” I was questioning him.
“So I seem that scary to you?” he said as he smiles again.
“I-I mean… well.. I’m afraid of getting hurt..” I was
shaking. He seems to see that I was shaking.
“Well, don’t worry… I’m no bad guy. Bad guys are people who
are really scary!” he starts using weird gesture on his hands. I kinda laughed for a little
bit.
“See? I made you laugh! So I’m not scary now right?” he
said.
“I guess not..” I gave him a smile. He seemed to be turning
red though.
“Y-yeah… so.. how about I introduce you to some other nice people? How ‘bout it?” as he gave out his hand again. I was having second thoughts and yet, I grabbed his hand anyway.
Maybe he isn’t really all that scary.
