I'm getting enough sleep, but I am still so exhausted. I don't know what the deal is. Either it is that I have a cold, that I have been eating an awful diet recently, that something else is wrong, or that my lack of consistently taking vitamins (or taking them at all) for the past six months has started to really deplete me, especially iron-wise ( Read more... )

*nod* The high sugar/high carb diet is causing your insulin levels to spike and then crash hardcore which is causing your body to go into very high fatigue cycles. You either need to get into a routine diet or cut some of the carby/high sugar foods out. Good luck putting that together hon, I know I always feel better when I have my diet and food under control too.

Yeah, its been a vicious cycle the past few weeks. Stress + being tired = me eating HORRIBLY but then eating horribly makes me stressed and tired... I'm committing myself to 2 weeks first of change, getting thorugh that, and then seeing how it goes after that!

I know you can do it. You have an amazing amount of drive and ambition. :D

Aw, thanks... but usually that drive and ambition disappears entirely when it comes to giving up my junk snacks! I should think positively though! :)

Maybe you should do a cleanse.

Also - try some black strap molasses in your oatmeal in the mornings for a big dose of iron!

Anyway.... I hope you feel better soon.

Oooo, good idea, I forgot about the molasses... It's always better to get things from food than from a supplement. I have wanted to do a cleanse and know of several, but the first few days of a cleanse are always rough and I don't have a few days right now to be any rougher than I am. It is DEFINITELY on my list of things to do in January when I finally have some time to rejuvenate though!! (I know, it's awful, putting it off, but blah!)

Hmm. I'd say just try to eat a little better and to start taking vitamins again. I should probably do that too...
