I'm losing it... I have worked so much for the past two months, it's starting to pile up. I need the lesser amount of hours of the next month, but at the same time I need the money of more hours---if only I worked daytime, I'd make enough to only work 40 with an occasional double shift. My mom won't call me about Thanksgiving because she's pissed ( Read more... )

Why do you need to go home for Thanksgiving anyhow? Wouldn't that time be better spent in NY as down time and spent relaxing instead of on edge with your mom? Or did you promise her you would come home? Instead of keeping calling, which is what she wants, I would give up. I would send her an e-mail, let her know that you have made numerous attempts to get ahold of her and to make plans to come home for Thanksgiving and that without further input you are not going to be able to finalize those plans. As such, you are not going to be able to make that trip because of school/work/life, and as such you do not have the time or effort to keep calling or writing. You love her and such but without her input you cannot make the trip, so she will either need to get ahold of you in the very near future, or prepare for a Thanksgiving without you there this year because it will not be possible to do on short notice. Try to do this with as much tact as possible but it will maybe show her that you have a lot on your plate and playing games ( ... )

I did call her and she says that she has bene trying to scrounge up th emoney. Apparently my little sister tried to skip school again and is now suspended for a few days, so my mom has set up counseling sessions for her, which, on top ofus bieng broke, makes us broker. I do not really understand HOW we are broke, with my mom's salary, but somehow we are. She's going to contact my grandparents... I'll probably drive down anyways, because even if my mom is being insane, I haven't seen my grandparents in ages and I miss them very much! It's only a few days at least!

You should come stay with me for thanksgiving, I think I'm cooking at my apartment instead of my house, you could stay with me over break, and I could practice vegetarian cooking. Aaron could come too, and that way also you'd be close to home so you could still see your family if your mom ever stops being immature about the fact that you're growning up.

If I drive down, I may come visit you on Friday! That would be uber-neat! there's a strong chance that I willd rive down considering my mom doesn't hhave the money for the ticket and while she is going to get it from my grandparents, the tix will prob be sold out by the time that all works out! So yay I'd be able to finally come visit you at CNU!
