Since I bought ice skates for V for his birthday, we've been doing a lot of ice skating as a family.  He's planning to attend a beginners hockey camp for the local league and Riyan is now planning on taking skating lessons in Nov.  So I decided I should get my own skates so I don't have to keep renting dubious ones.  I ended up deciding on hockey ( Read more... )

Glad you liked the mate vana. =) For the super fine ones, I usually use the tea envelopes rather than the diffusers because I hate chewing tea.
Congrats on the car. And what does it mean to bake skate?

"baking" is basically heat-molding the skate to fit your foot and it can also help to soften the boot a bit. The pro shops have special "ovens" and it only works on certain types of skates that are designed for it. Doesn't entirely replace breaking them in the old fashioned way but it certainly helps.
