I have FINALLY started getting some sleep! Delanie is basically sleeping through the night, at least she has 2 nights in a row. She now goes to bed at 11 and wakes up around 5:30. Today was my first trip out of the apartment since I left the hospital. Kinda sad, I know, but it is kinda hard with a newborn. I went over to my mom's and I was actually able to take a nap. Things are finally starting settle down around here and the whole mom thing is starting to feel real. I'm not in as much pain as I was, but my epidural placement still kinda hurts. My milk also came in today, so that is going to make breastfeeding much easier. I was having to supplement formula because Delanie just wasn't getting enough food. ( Read more... )

OK, so Delanie and I were released from the hospital tonight and I couldn't be happier to be home. Being a mom and having this tiny baby to take care of is the scariest thing in the world, but also the most amazing. So this time tomorrow, I am going to be in labor! I'm not exactly excited about the pain, but I am amazed by the fact that I'm going to be a mom tomorrow. We FINALLY know what's going on! I am being induced on Thursday! YAY! That is, unless I go into labor before that. That's still a very good possibility because we think he may have stripped my membranes today during my exam, which makes it VERY easy for my water to break.
