That's what i've been thinking myself, that I have changed rather a lot perhaps. You may have saw my posts about a species change on twitter? Is to reflect those changes more than anything.
I wish I could say WHAT has changed, honestly, but I don't know what caused me to suddenly start taking everything so seriously.
Games are indeed a great way to get away from everything that's bugging you in real life, so good perhaps that's it's often bad to stay there too long. Something i've been doing far, far too much of lately.
And while I've never personally had TOO much of that in dungeons and raids, I won't lie and say it never happens, it does all too often in PUGs especially. But the "Social prestige" games are indeed getting more and more stupid, it's like people don't even hide it any more.
To be honest, TR? Almost everyone I know can fall under something in there, though some less than others. Though I want to stress they're not "Failed" friends by stretch of the imagination. That's who these people are, and no amount of me complaining over LJ will ever change that.
If you want to class anyone as a failed friend, it'd be me.
