My mom rocks!!

My mom just called and said she was flying to Alaska tomorrow to visit some family.  Then she said that she has soooo many FF miles that i should go with her!!!!!  I actually won't fly out until Saturday, but I don't come home till next Sunday.  She is sooooooooooooo fucking awesome!!!!  Free round trip to Alaska, hell yeah I'm going!!!!!!!!

WOW! That is freakin awesome! My best friend's parents have an RV and spend the whole summer driving out to/in Alaska every year. So I've heard it's absolutely gorgeous. MAN! I am so envious right now. Take lots of pictures, please :)

I still can't stop smiling! I have a lot of family up there, so we will be staying with my moms aunt and cousin. Originally my mom decided to fly up b/c her cousin was having her dog of 17 years put down. Apparently it was her one constant in her life and so this is real hard for her (I have Roxy, so I can relate). But I was still making fun of my moms reason to just up and leave.

Today I kept dropping hints, "gee mom, you took my brother 5 years ago, but you never took me!". So I guess my guilt trip worked!!

I think I am most excited to see the Northern Lights, wildlife, mountains, etc. I will definitely be taking pictures and posting them for you!!!

BTW - hows the felted bag coming along? I started a basic knit blanket on 35's. it will be awhile before its done, but I will post pictures!

Oh that dreaded felted bag... I cannot get the i-cord to work no matter what I try. It just isn't turning out. It just gets tangled into a knot. I'm definitely going to have to go in, but I just have to find time to do that. The handle is all I have left though... well, aside from felting it. So, maybe I'll have it finished one day LOL

I did finish another scarf though, but it turned out too short because I ran out of yarn (it was what was left from the 1-2-3 class). I checked to see if they had more of that yarn but they don't. Any ideas on how to add more to it even though I've technically already finished it? Or do you know any little kids who want a pink scarf haha

And that is really sad about the doggie... I know I will be a mess whenever that time comes for my dog. Considering most people don't even stay in our lives for seventeen years, it's hard to imagine saying goodbye to a companion who has been around that long.

I don't think it would be hard to add on, but I have no clue how though :( Do you know any lil girls you could give it to for xmas? If not, maybe donate it. Then you can say you did your good deed for the year =D
