Title: Dawn
Fandom: Naruto
Characters/Pairings: Kakashi/Iruka
Rating: PG
Word Count: 370
Summary: Sometimes dawn is the only time Kakashi and Iruka's schedules intersect.
Notes: I WROTE NARUTO FIC. WHAT IS HAPPENING HERE.

Iruka rose with the first few smudges of light on the horizon. As a child he hated getting up early but as an adult he thought of the quiet mornings as 'his' time, the precious few hours before any of his favorite brats stirred.

He sat by the window and watched while he ate his breakfast, and he saw things: fishermen going out to their boats, the baker opening his shop, a sneaky lover stealing back home. He learned to spot the blurs on the rooftops that were the ANBU coming home from secret missions and knew that he, too, would soon have company.

Kakashi arrived just as the sun poked its head over the horizon. Long ago Iruka had learned to stop shouting about the blood dripping on the floor and the smell of Kakashi's body after a night of serving the village. He had come to regard these times as precious.

"Good morning, Iruka," Kakashi greeted. His eye curved slightly as he smiled, and of course Iruka dropped everything to go to him. He tugged until the mask loosened and studied the line between grime and pale skin.

"Good morning, Kakashi," he said, quietly enough that he wasn't sure Kakashi heard him. "I missed you."

Whether he heard it or not, Kakashi chose not to return the over-emotional sentiment. "Something smells good."

"Not you." But Iruka said it with a smile as he broke away to fetch the tray waiting for Kakashi under a heating jutsu in the kitchen. "You're dirty."

Somehow Kakashi managed to steal from the entranceway to the kitchen without Iruka noticing, and wrapped around him from behind. The long limbs of Iruka's lover fit around his sturdy frame like an octopus, and he could do little but squeak. Struggling never worked. "You like that, though, don't you sensei?"

Iruka blushed and elbowed Kakashi hard in the ribs; the tea spilled, but it made Kakashi back up with a look of wounded pride. "Get a shower. I'll be back for my lunch break, if you're not passed out."

Kakashi smiled wryly. "Yes, sensei."

"And eat your breakfast!"

"Yes, sensei."

"And--" Iruka's color returned in full force "--be ready for me when I get home."

"Yes, sensei."

Title: Natural
Fandom: Harry Potter
Characters/Pairings: Remus/Sirius
Rating: PG
Word Count: 300
Summary: One of these days, Remus will say "I love you."
Notes HARRY POTTER, TOO? WHAT AM I DOING WITH MY LIFE.

For Sirius, affection comes as naturally as breathing. He throws an arm around James sometimes when they're walking and scheming, or leans in and whispers something in his ear with an expression causes Remus to blush. When Peter's piss-drunk and the rest of them are only half-sober he leans over and (looking quite sincere) informs Peter that he has the nicest blue eyes, really, did he know how beautiful he was right now? But with Remus, he is the most affectionate of all: tugging Remus along by the hand and sprawling on top of him in the common room and once (only once, for Remus never allowed him to repeat it) actually licking him in the Three Broomsticks.

Everyone else laughs it off because of course it is Sirius being Sirius, but Remus knows better. Though Sirius uses "I love you" easily (Lily thinks it was because he didn't get enough affection at home. Sometimes Remus thinks Lily tries too hard), he says it differently when he speaks to Remus. His eyes go soft, his mouth turns up just so, and Remus knows that he is completely lost.

One of these days -- one of these days, some day soon -- Remus will look at him the same way and say "I love you." He always means to, but somehow when he opens his mouth the words get tangled in his throat and come out as "shove off, Padfoot" or "shut up, Sirius."

And when that happens, Sirius's eyes go hard again and his mouth turns down at the corners; his whole body turns in on itself, then inside out and cheerful again. Seeing that makes Remus heavy. He doesn't like it, he realizes, and vows never, ever to do it again until the next time Sirius goes a little too far.

Title: To Have & To Hold
Fandom: Harry Potter
Characters/Pairings: Remus/Sirius
Rating: PG
Word Count: 300
Summary: Sirius won't let them have this.

Fact: Remus Lupin made a terrible bed partner.

He tossed. He turned. He snored. His feet were ice cold and his breath smelled like something had died. Sirius thought, when he stopped to think, that he made an equally terrible bedmate; in any case, Remus's little flaw bothered him not in the least.

In fact, it fascinated him. He found himself lingering, long after the two of them finished; he'd prop himself up on one elbow and watch Remus's twisting quest for comfortable sleep. He secretly enjoyed each little sigh of contentment or frustration, each time the sheet fell off completely and treated him to a complete view, each time Remus curled up nearly on top of him for warmth. Whenever that happened, Sirius shoved his nose into Remus's shoulder and Remus would mumble shove off, Padfoot without making any effort at all to make him move. And Sirius stayed.

With girls in school, Sirius ran. The minute both of them came he threw on his clothes and James's invisibility cloak and ran back to what he considered his home and family. Now, though, war and graduation had soured that home and this was the only piece of that family he could still cling to in the dark space before dawn.

He should leave, he thought, but with Moony's stringy hair sticking in his nose and his cold feet on his ankles, Sirius stayed. The war had already taken his family before them and he decided, as the light slid through the curtain, that it couldn't have this.

Title: Spaces
Fandom: Young Avengers
Characters/Pairings: Billy/Teddy
Rating: PG
Warnings:: ( skip) WARNING. Realistic/based off true experiences depiction of depression. I'm not sure if I should warn for that but I'd rather warn than ruin someone's day.
Word Count: 380
Summary: Post!CW. The bathroom is too small.
Notes oh okay the universe is normal again.

"Bill?" Teddy's voice reverberated in the small bathroom against the cooled tiles. Billy hadn't noticed that the water had gone cold until Teddy snapped him out of it and he gave a violent, full-body shiver.

"I'm here," he answered, and hated the sound of his own voice. High and unsteady, it betrayed the fact that weeks after the fact he still wasn't over it. He closes his mouth, clears his throat, and tries again: "I'm still here."

Behind him Teddy shuffles, though Billy doesn't turn to look and see what he's doing. Instead he shuts off the water and runs a hand through his hair only to discover there's still soap there. He hadn't even managed that before he zoned out, and that annoys him irrationally. He told himself that it wasn't a problem as long as it didn't affect his schoolwork and his place on the team, but how okay could he be if he couldn't wash his own hair because the bathroom was too small?

The shower curtain twitched and Billy didn't think what that meant before Teddy stepped into the tub and wrapped his arms around Billy's middle so that they stood back-to-front. "What's up?"

The laughter that escaped startled Billy. It didn't sound funny and it didn't sound like it came from him. "You know, another day, another flashback."

Teddy's arms tightened and pulled Billy even closer until he could feel every detail of Teddy's body against him. Something about the solid, Teddy-ish shape called Billy back down to Earth. Teddy was good at that, calling him back. "They'll go away eventually. Your mom said they would."

"Yeah." Billy touched the tile and then twisted to look at Teddy. "The bathroom is too small."

Teddy blinked and looked around the bathroom; it was the same size as it always was, of course, but now in Billy's head it's the same size as the cell. "You could make it bigger. You know, on the inside."

"Like the Tardis?" Billy snorted. "No offense, Ted, but I think I've had enough of pocket dimensions to last me the rest of my life."

"Understandable." Teddy pressed a kiss to Billy's shoulder. "It will get better."

Billy closed his eyes and drifted, focusing only on Teddy's arms. "I know."
