we decided against tying the knot this year due to lack of funds and the number of people that are going to be invited...
ex: my mom is 1 of 4 siblings
my dad is 1 of 9
josh's mom is 1 of 4
josh's dad is 1 of 5
josh's step dad is 1 of 4
josh's step mom is one of 1 of 6
and everyone pretty much is married and has at least one kid... so the bodies are going to start piling up and we haven't even included grandparents, our friends or friends of the families yet...
I figure we can pay little things (dress, cake, decorations, my one MUST HAVE =D , other expenses...) off here and there as we go along- hell, we have a year and a half- so when all is said and done and we come back from our honeymoon, we aren't left with multiple nasty wedding bills staring us in the face.
and bottom line is that I'm madly in love with my future husband and he feels the same towards me and we want to celebrate our wedding in the best way we can... and that entails drinks for everyone (who wants them), great music and a big ass party with some of the coolest people on the face of the earth!
and another thing to make me smile...
I was referred to as Mrs. Baxley for the first time yesterday... at Solantic. (Hahah!) The Doctor came in, greeted Josh, introduced herself, turned to me and asked, "and is this Mrs. Baxley?" I smiled and told her, "soon-to-be Mrs. Baxley" which was followed by her congratulatory smile and a highly unexpected "oh yeah! get it!" which made me crack up.
