I'm sorry about the feeding tube, but I'm glad he's in such a good place. Hopefully there is enough entertainment for him that he will look upon this as a good thing. I've been in ped wards with my kids and they are doing everything they can to make life comfortable for the kids in pain. That's a good thing.

holy crap. yikes. that does not sound like fun. and poor scotty. to have to have that thing in his nose all the time. but if this is what it takes...

Yeah, his nose is bleeding a bit now, and it's uncomfortable....but he's gaining a huge amount of weight already. The dietician came in today and talked to us. She said "Well, our goal for a Failure To Thrive child with tube feedings is to gain 30 grams a day......and he's at *looks at chart* WOW, 150 grams!"

Go Scotty! 150 grams!! Thats awesome :) you are a FANTASTIC mom. There's no way I could ever be a peds nurse, I'd never be able to see the kids so upset.
