i had a fun but exhausting week.  monday was Genre, and friday i went to the new Opening Ceremony on La Cienega with Lex and Meredith...that store is amazing. i want to buy everything there pretty much. then we went to see Across the Universe in Westwood, which was SO good even though it was raining all the way back from the theatre.

That sounds like the single most rad restaurant in all of Chinatown.

i'm pretty sure it's the only rad restaurant in chinatown, but i wouldn't swear to it.

This is quite true, though even if there were other cool eateries available, I'd have no idea. I tend to have a very Jake Gittes approach to Chinatown, though it's less about having been a former detective in the area and more about the fact that I need to get out more, lol.

yep, either the schoolwork falls by the wayside or life does :(
they played 'gates to the garden' and 'love letter' though...which i'm totally partial to because they're from the first cave album i ever bought...

I'm down to 3 nite classes now (as my Volleyball class was only 8 weeks long). So I am available to get a job now. Once that happens (I hope sometime soon!) I won't have much of a life either. This Art Appreciation class is kicking my ass though. I'm not used to memorizing art pieces and doing so much studying, but I really love the history that I'm learning.

My first Nick album was "Henry's Dream" and actually saw them, my first time, during the "Let Love In" tour. I didn't really know much of them at the time, so I didn't even watch the performance. It's nice that they are playing Badseeds out there...feel lucky! I've never heard a Nick song on the radio, much less a public restaurant.

yeah LA thinks it's ~sophisticated~ so they play indie rock everywhere.
