Washington DC!!!!

Last weekend certainly turned out to be a greeaat(think Tony the Tiger)weekend! I was definitely ready to see Kristin after not seeing her for about two months. As soon as I saw her I emgulfed her in a biig hug.
We finally got to Catholic U which is a beautiful campus. And the surrounding area was amazing as well. I could definitley see why Kristin chose to study architechture at Catholic. Soo many architecturally rich buildings. That night Kristin and I met her friend Brian and we went to a performance in the Pryz Student Center, Honk, which is basically The Ugly Duckling made into a musical. We were both blown away. The actors were superfantastic and they had the most incredible singing voices. The chemistry was great, and the characters were hysterical, especially the Cat and the Frog. I definitely want to get involved in theater in college, i'd be perfectly happy doing backstage crew. I can't say enough good things about the play.
After the play we hung around in her dorm room and got to meet all of her super cool and awesome friends.I felt right at home. Lets just say I enjoyed meeting Spencer, who Kristin has told me alll about lol. Spencer is quite a character. Kristin and I were lucky enough to witness the sight of Spencer over the weekend treating a box like a potato sack and proceding to hop up a flight upstairs completely in that box. Our faces were priceless. I turned right to Kristin and exclaimed "He's drunk, isn't he?" She immediatly nodded her head. "Oh yes, hes had at least (edited) shots tonight." hahahaha. And Kristin said the look on my face was hysterical when I also met one of her friends Marcus, who was also on my list of people to meet. And I bet some people will be able to guess why, i'll just leave it at that lol.
Saturday was when the real fun began.
Kristin and I basically LIVED on the Metro this whole weekend. On saturday Kristin took me to all of the popular tourist sights. Washington DC is such an awesome and wonderful and great place, and I already can't wait till the next time I have the opportunity to visit :)Museums were first on the list. We went into the Museum of Natural History and definitely had fun with the animal theme haha. The American History museum was incredible as well. We kept talking about how much more enjoyable school would be if students got to take trips to a museum instead of sitting in a clasroom all day. We could have spent the whole day in the museums. There was so much amazing information there! Like how only the President has a master key to every single place in either the Capitol or the White House(I forgot, typical me, lol) They also had countless presidential artifacts and also dresses worn by the first ladies.
The afteroon was also capped off with sightseeings of the Smithsonian Museum of Art, White House, Capitol, Canadian EEmbassey Library of Congress, and Supreme Court.
This journal entry can't do Saturday night justice. Kristin and I had dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. WEe had a few good laughs about how we were in a romantic candlelit dinner atmosphere lol... we had a good conversation about how McDonalds is really the only big food chain that is under fire and how everyone wants to change it but people don't pay attention to other restaurants that are as unhealthy as McDonalds. "Now thats what a documentary should be filmed on lol."
When we got back it was COSTUME TIME!!! Kristin, me, Kathryn(her roomate, Joe, Dave, Kathryins brother(cuz it was family weekend) and another one of Kristins friend all went out in costumes and on the Metro at like one o' clock in the morning and we went on a momument tour. My costume has earned me a new nickname haha.. i wore a blue boa and the dye leaked all over me and so now I'm Smurf. Kristin would not stop laughing and taking pictures of me. "I'm never gonna live this down," i asked. She smiled, shook her head and said, "Nope!"  We saw some interesting costumes on the Metro lol...me and Kristins favorite..... the breakdancing Tiger. We saw the Washington Momument, Lincoln Memorial, World War 11 Memorial, Vietnam, and the Albert Einstien one. FUNNNNNNNN unforgetabble Night. Such a great time. Didn't get to sleep untill about 3:30, 4 in the morning. :)
Sunday it was Georgetown and Virginia. We ate lunch at Chiptole, a Mexican restaurant. Being Buffalo natives, we of course had to fit Mighty Taco into the conversation. We talked about how people like to brag about Mighty Taco(a local chain), but how people should come to Chipotle to get a wake up call. And their chips and salsa.. UNBELIEVABLE!!! And of course, thanks to Kristin who took the leftovers and put them in her big bag that she had carried, the chips became my midnight snack for that night. And the bridge in Georgetown that connects DC to Virginia was such a cool experience. I can't tell u how many times I cracked the "Kristin, you're gonna kill me" joke. We spent some time in her dorm room before we went to the nine o clock mass at her chapel which reminded me of St. Joes.
Sunday night we went to mass and then met with Brian and few of Kristins friends so she could study for a bit for a test on Monday. I met Brian many times over the weekend. He was such a great guy.
Monday..... Kristin had her test so i got to sleep in and we went to eat lunch after her class with her friend Connie. Kristin also had to work, so she suggested taking a tour of the National Shrine. Holy cow, that had to be one of the most indescribable feelings ever... to be in the largest shrine in the western hemisphere, 8th in the world. The architecture and the mosaics left my jaw hanging open. The tour guide had a great sense of humor too.  I could have spent all day in the gift store. I got some pretty cool souvenirs. Unfortunately I had to pack next so her sister could drive me to the airport.
But this weeekend will be something I will remember forever. We always have a good time laughing and just talking our heads off lol... we impressed people with our gossiping skills this weekend. Thats our favorite activity lol. Every time we get so spend with each other is special. I look forward all of the memories and unforgetable memories we will share in the future.
