these college years really are dream for me.  i find a subject that i’m curious about, locate a professor whose work it brushes up against, and e-mail said professor about how to format research around said point of curiosity.

sorry, that sounds as pretentious as all else.  but let it be that this portion of my life is spent nurturing the element

may be a little more difficult and a little more dangerous than you might think. even in morocco the american girls in my group were harassed quite frequently while we were in a group, and i dont think any of them went out alone. while i think it is great you want to do work in africa, it remains a pretty dangerous/unstable place.

however, if you can make it to london, it is very easy to cross the EU to spain, cross the strait of gibraltar into tangiers. after that...?

also, miss patty rice, i am running off to indiana for the weekend, but come tuesday, i should be mostly recovered and we can resume shenaniganing :)
