I'm going to post a video of a woman explaining the Bechdel Test. In my movie outings I try to avoid movies that don't pass, but it's pretty difficult because I love going to the movie theater and will see just about anything. Luckily, my last two movie experiences passed, though barely. (I saw Girl with a Dragon Tattoo and Toy Story 3).
SOOOOO, in an effort to show you why it's so important to have women role models in entertainment, meet Slyvia. The COOLEST girl rocket scientist I've seen on the internet all day. As she gets older and takes more cues from the women in her life and in media, don't we all want Slyvia to witness confident, intelligent, and respected female role models interacting with each other and speaking about anything other than their relationship to and with men? I sure do. Especially if she keeps giving me tips on rocket making.
