I really hate it when people try to fax something but they have the wrong fax number so it comes through the switchboard and I pick up the phone. It happened not once, not twice, but 12 times because it must be on automatic redial.

that happens to me a lot I now transfer the call to the fax number, don't know why it took me so long to figure out.

When that happens to me, I end up cupping my hand around the mouthpiece of the receiver and saying, loudly, "THIS IS NOT A FAX MACHINE." Or I just leave the line on hold, heh. It's funny, but after I yell that, it usually stops...

I get it too. Jeannie does Real Estate Ads on the side for a friend and they get put in the local paper and magazines. Well they get faxed first for approval, well we are seperated and the damn local paper still tries to fax things to me, shes told them she doesnt live with me, yet they still f'ing try.

I just leave the phone off the hook.

Wish I could leave the phone off the hook. Most of the stuff that comes through the switchboard is spam stuff (investments and whatever). Do not know how we got on their list. Bad thing is, faxes make up the majority of my phone calls at work.
