Today I spent the day not focused on very many things. I had all intentions of having fun and cherishing today. I went with Ben and his wife to spend time at Arcade Infinity. Arcade Infinity has been a place in my life where I can touch upon memories spent playing video games (DDR, Bemani, and the like) over many years. Even when I was unable to reach this mecca of arcade gaming, there are still memories connected by this place. The first time I ever went there, when I first moved to Pomona to attend Cal Poly Pomona was a few days of shared bliss with my younger brother. Another time, was my ex went with his friends on a mecca trip to AI for a DDR tournament, and he brought me souvenirs, a tare panda cell phone strap from the now non existent Life Plaza, and an Arcade Infinity T-shirt.
Its really sad to see this iconic arcade close its doors. It's been around for nearly a decade, bringing forth the latest most trendiest games, including Bemani. It has always been my go to place when I have a craving to play music games, and just be myself.
I ended up spending $10 on games today and it was well spent. I finally was able to actually beat Hard Pf [FFFFF] more than once this time around. I'm still hung up over the 23 - 25 level range of Pop'n music... and need to find a way to practice. Hell, I'm only finally beginning to be able to read 2x speed and still struggle.

I also was able to beat EMO [Sorrows] on level 23...

It's such a beautiful song... despite the engrish.
I also was finally able to beat
Clazziquai Project (클래지콰이) - 'Flea' on normal on DJ Max Technika.

With that... I enjoyed today and the hours I spent at Arcade Infinity. Reading about it leaving... gives me butterflies in my stomach and that gut feeling of sadness. I'm not really crying over it, but do have feelings of sorrow in my heart.

On a happier note, in the past two months I've been to Din Tai Fung twice pre-Arcade Infinity trip. So here's a photo food dump of delicious delicious dumplings.
With that... it's time to go to actually go to bed.
