I'm rereading arsenicjade 's TGAN for maybe the fifth time right now.  I love this story.  It is absolutely one of my favourite stories ever, and probably the only one I've reread so often

Most of the stories can be read stand alone, so you could conceivably start reading at "Eight Times," but they all do reference each other. They all overlap in time, but I usually start with "Scenes from a Bus," then "Good Boys," "42,"The 3%," and then "Eight Times." That takes forever, but I kind of like that.

If you want to get to the JC bits fastest you could just read "Scenes," and then skip to "Eight Times" and it would work.

About my last comment -- I forgot to point out that if you skip the other stories you won't get the awesome little bits there they all intersect, like this bit from Good Boys:

Spencer's on the phone with Bob, so Ryan lays down on the bed and falls asleep while waiting. Spencer wakes him up by settling on the bed next to him. They aren't touching. Ryan asks, "Know anything about nipple clamps?" because the easiest way to do these things is to just get them out on the table
